I'm always curious about the cost of fast food in foreign countries, looks like a pretty decent meal! what does 1000 Yen translate to in dollars? anyway, glad to see you having a good time!

So glad to hear you are there safely and that you are already diving into the culture. i just saw the movie Babel, which has a very moving storyline in japan, and its imagery has really stayed with me - so I can relate to waves of images you must be confronting with every moment. Soak it up and enjoy.

YUM that looks great...how could you see the beedy eyes through the tempura? But seriously, I am glad you are safe and sound and I'm looking forward to hearing more about how they do things in Japan.
