So much to do, so little time!

I have been awarded the opportunity to be part of the Japan Fulbright Teacher Program. I will be joining a delegation of 200 educators from around the country, and we will all be travelling to Japan together. While we are there we will be visiting schools, learning about Japanese culture and life, and we will also have some time to explore topics of our own choosing. I am an artist and an art teacher so a very important aspect of my trip will be exploring the richness of the arts and aesthetics in Japan.

On November 12th I will be getting on a plane, in New York City where I live, and I will start the first part of my journey to Japan, which is a stopover in San Francisco. While there I will meet all the other teachers going to Japan and we will have an orientation to the Fulbright program. I have much to do to prepare for my trip. Today is Thursday, November 2...ten days and counting!

Good luck in Japan, Melissa. Don't know how to particpate in this blog, but wanted to give it a try. Did this come through?
